First Ladies Collection Smithsonian


Inaugural Ball Gowns in the First Ladies Collection worn by Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt in 1904 and Mrs. William Howard Taft in 1909. The gold furniture was used in the White House from the Administration of President Buchanan to the of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, here shown in the setting depicting the Blue Room c. 1900.
