Lisa & Janell brought this postcard when they were on the California coast. They said it was very crowded. A spectacular cypress tree frames Pinnacle Rock in Point Lobos State Park south of Carmel. Very crowded.
For my dearest friend's baby girl. Samantha these are the stories behind the places on the cards.

Point Park, Chattanooga's favorite Civil War site
Nicole found this old postcard in a resale store. Sent in 1946 with a $0.01 stamp.
Printed on back of Postcard:
This gate was erected in 1905 by the Government, as an entrance to Point Park, where the Battle Above the Clouds was fought in November 1863.
Here the Park is located in New York's beautiful $100,00. Peace Monument.
At the point of the mountain is Umbrella Rock and famous view of Moccasin Bend.

Chaco Canyon
Brad brought this card from Chaco Canyon. Located in remote Chaco Canyon National Monument, New Mexico, Pueblo Bonito Ruin dates to the A.D. 900's. Pueblo Bonito was once up to four stories high, contained 800 rooms, 32 kivas (round ceremonial chambers) and was constructed of more than a million dresses stones. Here in Chaco Canyon, the prehistoric Anasazi people established a ritual and cultural center. The Monument occupies 34 square miles and contains 13 major Anasazi ruins and hundreds of smaller ones.
